The region where Sirikoi is, has traditionally been lived in by the “Laikipia Maasai”. We can arrange for you to experience their traditions, including their famous dancing, weddings and traditional blessings. Kenya is a nation made of many, proud communities, each with their own history and legacy, which we celebrate.

Maasai Cultural Dance
Our guests have the opportunity to witness and participate in a traditional Maasai dance, performed by warriors adorned in their colourful traditional wear, including beadwork necklaces and shukas (wraps). They perform in the evening before dinner. The dance is captivating, energetic and entertaining, featuring only the voices of the performers as instruments.
Maasai Blessings & Vow Renewals
For many couples, an African safari is the best time to renew their vows or receive a traditional blessing. Nature inspires togetherness!
The blessing can be done at the Lodge, sundowner location or at a local Maasai village, an amazing experience to be talked about for years to come.

Maasai Cultural Village Visit
Visiting this neighbouring community is a unique opportunity to learn about customs, culture and daily lives of the Laikipia Maasai, a very traditional section of the Maa people. They are the colourful and ancient custodians of this land. After breakfast, we drive to a local village and visit their “manyatta” or homestead, learn about their traditions and share in their culture.
