This half-day excursion takes you by helicopter to a remote part of the Rift Valley for a unique cultural encounter with the Pokot tribal community, rarely visited by outsiders. The Pokot in this area are nomadic pastoralists, independent by nature and highly dependent on their livestock for survival.

After meeting the community, you will fly over the extraordinary Suguta Valley, forming part of the Great Rift Valley. This is a fascinating geological site with massive sand dunes, ‘painted’ valleys, Lake Logipe (a crater lake seasonally fringed pink by thousands of flamingoes), and the southern end of Lake Turkana (know as the Jade Sea). You will land for a picnic breakfast at the base of Mount Nyiru, before a scenic flight back to the lodge.

The helicopter takes a maximum of five passengers.
